![]() As he helps her to her feet, the two of them see the swarm regrouping at the feet of a strange young man in a white robe, watching the train from a nearby hill. After a brief facedown, the "leech zombie" reverts to its swarm form, which rapidly skitters across the floor and engulfs her.īefore it can hurt her, Billy comes to her rescue, scaring off the leeches with some well-aimed shots. until he turns to look at her and his head falls off of his shoulders! As Rebecca screams in horror, the corpse splits apart and reveals itself to be a swarm of mutated leeches, which quickly reassembles itself into a grotesque parody of the man she just saw. Here, she finds an old man seated at a table, one who seems to be a survivor. ![]() As the power has been cut, sealing the automated doors to the kitchen shut, Rebecca heads upstairs to the dining room. Unable to convince her, he then tells her to go on ahead and see how well she does. When she incredulously points out that he's a wanted felon, he retorts that there are bigger things to worry about at the moment. Catching up to her as she enters the dining car, Billy actually proposes that he and Rebecca team up. His last words before transmission ceases are to warn her that Coen wouldn't think twice of killing her.Īnd yet, he doesn't seem in the slightest interested in that. The transmission is awful and cuts off shortly, but he manages to warn her that Billy Coen is responsible for the deaths of 23 people and was recently institutionalized. In the passenger car, Captain Enrico contacts her by radio. Killing them, the shaken Rebecca tries to give chase to Billy. She doesn't have long to ponder this before Edward's killers - a pair of zombie dobermans - come charging through the window in turn. With his dying breath, he warns Rebecca that the forest is full of "zombies and monsters". Though she rushes to his aid, he is mortally wounded from vicious animal bites. After realizing she's just a rookie - and a medic - from STARS, Billy decides she's not a threat and proceeds to leave, despite Rebecca's rather feeble attempts to assert herself.īefore Rebecca can give chase, her teammate Edward Dewey suddenly bursts in through the window. As she retrieves a key to the dining car from a nearby corpse, she is confronted by Billy Coen, who holds a gun on her from behind. several of which then animate and attack her! Gunning them down, she tries to make her way to the engine itself, but is unable to progress due to a locked door. To her horror, she finds its seats cars full of dead bodies. In a game like say RE4 with OTS, it would probably be better. As she explores, Rebecca finds the Ecliptic Express, and boards it. Seriously, who thought having a flying boss that spawns many little flying creatures that throw off your targeting and also eat your shots was a good idea? In the classic games that aren’t built for this shit, no less. ![]() PS the bat has to be the worst boss if not one of the worst bosses in series. The implementation of the team mechanic is pretty cool but the game itself misses several times that it doesn’t even matter. But it says a lot more about the rest of the game to me that it straight up doesn’t even get any better than this. Like so much fun running down the same few train cars with respawning zombies in a narrow space that forces a lot of fight. I think the train segment is also pretty overrated. Plus the bullshit ass hook shot that comes up a couple times manages to be the worst item in the entire series but like I said, would probably be mitigated with item boxes. You would think each char having 6 slots is a lot but every weapon that isn’t a handgun is two handed needs two slots so you need to leave the ones you can’t carry in convenient places. Because of that, the game is a lot more of a chore on your first few runs when trying to learn. Game has several problems that would probably be solved if it had item boxes.
